Weekly Reading Update // 6th November

I won a giveaway from Gollancz! It was super quick to arrive too. So if my physical book count is higher, it’s okay because I didn’t buy any πŸ˜‚

Read This Week

  • A Shot at Normal by Marisa Reichardt // ⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐ // This is a really important story about anti-vaxxer parents, and despite the more harrowing moments, I really enjoyed seeing Juniper start to find her independence, making friends and standing up for herself.
  • The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore (Lorien Legacies #2) // ⭐⭐⭐ // John spends most of this book cheating on his girlfriend and looking for his special box.
  • The Two Wrong Halves of Ruby Taylor by Amanda Panitch // ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ // Jewish identity and the feeling of not being “enough” are used brilliantly in this story.
  • Dance of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin (Masque of the Red Death #2) // ⭐⭐⭐⭐ // This was a solid sequel, even if it fell into the trap of feeling like the characters were waiting for the end chapters to do something.

The sequel to Gilded and Legendborn are out this month, two books that are both around 500 pages long so… wish me luck 😭
