Weekly Reading

Weekly Reading Update // 12th March

I think I’ve spent half of this week running around town on various errands, so it’s amazing I got any reading in at all but somehow I’ve read seven? Also! I won a giveaway which was cool:

Physical TBR Count
(Accountability tracker as I’m trying to get this down to 100!)
Last Week: 312
This Week: 310

Read This Week

  • This Is the Way the World Ends by Jen Wilde // ⭐️ // Felt like it was trying too hard to tick every box off it’s diversity checklist, and the plot felt unresolved.
  • A Complicated Love Story Set in Space by Shaun David Hutchinson // ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ // A re-read, this wasn’t as fun the second time round as DJ got on my nerves.
  • Ice Cream and Indie Music by Suzanne Hart // ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ // A really fun UKYA road trip as we follow a band roadie, with a friends to lovers romance I really enjoyed.
  • Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale (Austenland #2) // ⭐️⭐️ // I should have re-watched the Austenland movie instead.
  • Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales // ⭐️⭐️⭐️ // It was fine, it just felt really rushed, I constantly felt like we were racing to the ending over enjoying the experience.
  • Becoming Betty by Eleanor Wood // ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ // Another UKYA with a band theme, this time a girl who’s in one. Loved the friendship between the members of Dirty Harriet.
  • Greenglass House by Kate Milford // ⭐️⭐️⭐️ // Every character had like, three different names, even the MC’s parents and I was so confused by the end I’m not even sure I understood the plot fully.
